Servant's Note:
New Member of He Cares!

June 9, 2006. 

A child was born to us and we gave her the name Marian, after Mother Mary.  Marian is a gift from God. 

In my heart I whispered to the Lord for a 3rd child and He answered my prayer.  Marian is the cutest baby in the entire world.  Every one who sees her says so.

One day I brought her to the mall.  I was carrying her and there were two ladies who said she looks like her cute dad (joke only!)

I will be gone for a month to attend a leadership seminar given by the Haggai Institute in Singapore.  Leaving my family saddens me so much but I believe God wants me to go and learn new things from Him.

In my absence, my wife and all the full-time workers will take charge of the foundation.  I encourage all of our partners in mission to continue supporting our programs.

The Christmas season is fast approaching and I offer this prayer for all of you.

"Lord, draw each one closer to Your heart this season.  Help us prepare a dwelling place for You.

Volunteers' Experiences: Sis. Vina Lainez       

It's been 6 months since I started as a volunteer in He Cares Foundation.  In that very short time, it changed my outlook in life and somehow softened my heart.  There was this overwhelming awareness that God made me feel during those brief moments especially with the children.

Now I am more aware of how much my family, especially my children, are blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ.  Just seeing and caring for these less fortunate children made a big impact in my life.

How I wish that I could give more and that God will continue to use me in His vision of saving more souls for His Kingdom through this humble ministry.

May God continue strengthen us in this wonderful work. 

 

We Need:

• house to convert into a home for abandoned girls

• food and clothing

• funds for Christmas party

• volunteers - most specially tutors

• money for next year's operational budget

• skilled trainers

• place to spend our yearly youth camping trip
