Back to God
Program Update
.........................................................................
 It
was 36° C under the shade, when the participants started
arriving. An estimated eighty (80) spirit-filled women came to
worship and listen to God’s message. This was the scene I have
witnessed last March 17, 2010, during the weekly gathering at He
Cares Foundation Montalban.

The Blessing of New
Beginnings
Last February 7,
2010, seven of the children under our care were able to avail of
the mass baptism held at the Holy Family Parish at GSIS Village,
Project 8, Quezon City.
It was a victory for the mothers who cooperated in processing
the required documents with the assistance of Gem, our very
reliable household ate.

Helping Others Help
Themselves Back to
Work Program Update
............................................................................
Whenever
I feel “poor,” an old philosophy would remind me, “Everybody ought
to be rich.” I guess the problem lies not on how we produce, but
rather, what ideas we continually feed our mind. As Robert Kiyosaki
would say it, “Money is an idea.”
The Filipino learned has been “trained” by the educational system to
be exceptional employees. This is good. However, not everybody is
privileged to get out of the rat race. We need to recognize that
there is a better way, and that would be to have an entrepreneurial
mindset. Our friend, Lina was able to see beyond the challenge.

Additional
livelihood program has been given to a number of aspirants at He
Cares Montalban. Through a partnership with Patrick Dy of Growth
Sales Enterprise, a unit has been converted as a garment factory
that will cater to the rising demands of baby and children’s
clothing.
It will employ twenty (20) seamstresses. Successful applicants will
still undergo
three (3) months extensive training for production, quality control,
financials, and spiritual renewal for additional support.

Household Blessing Upon Blessings
Back to Home
Program Update
We, at the Household,
believe that 2010 is the year where our dreams of evangelization will
come true. The first blessing that came was a new home for the younger
household boys. This means that we have a more conducive atmosphere for
change.
Back when all the household boys were in one house, there was a tendency
for
the
younger ones to copy everything that their big brothers were doing. Now
that the young ones have a house all to themselves, it would be a lot
easier to guide them spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Children Receive Free Vaccines!
Back to Health Program Update
.....................................................
The Philippine Foundation for Vaccination, through the initiative of
Dra. Cecilia Maramba-Lazarte, donated MMR/DPT vaccines for the children
of He Cares Foundation.
About 74 children, aged 4-6 years old received their free vaccines!
The Center was bustling with the mothers and little kids as early as
8:00 in the morning. Dra. Lazarte was ably assisted by Nurses Carmela
Asuro and Vilma Bonifacio. Additional help was provided by the nursing
students of the Manila Central University (MCU) who are doing their OJT
with He Cares Foundation.

Answer: Apostolate
Back to School Updates by Gemma Grasparil
.....................................................
“Father, my wings are
broken. I can no longer fly. Lead me where you please.”
I can perfectly recall this prayer at the Blessed Sacrament of the
Divine Mercy Shrine in Mandaluyong. What I felt then was utter
emptiness. I cried not knowing how to fill void inside me.

*The sponsored He Cares students will find it difficult to succeed in school
without the dedicated volunteer tutors we have had through the
years. Many of these kids do not have the privileges and resources
other children have. Volunteer as a
child tutor today! |

Servant’s note
Peace be with you!
2009 is over and it was
filled with blessings. Thanks be to Jesus!
And 2010 is another year
to see and experience the glory of GOD. Every new year, I ask the
Lord to give me 7 sacks of rice as a sign that He wants me to continue
with the mission of feeding the hungry. True enough, we started
off with 20 sacks of rice in our stock room.
It is very clear to me
that GOD wants the He Cares Mission to feed the hungry. I invite
you to join me this year to feed the hungry with the love of GOD.
Let us be a channel of
God's blessings to the poor especially to the street children.
Your servant in Christ
Jesus,
Bro. Joe Dean Sola
