Donate-A-Brick Project Updates                                                      ............................................................................

Do you still remember Part 1 of the Donate-A-Brick Project?  With the proceeds from Part 1, we were able to purchase a 425 square meters lot in Barangay Vasra last September 14, 2010.

So it’s time we start raising funds to build the structures. The target is to build a 2+1 storey building to house the office, feeding area, and the rooms to accommodate 100 streetkids.

Angeles Angels
Back to School Program Update
............................................................................

tutorsDo you know that our household girls did well last school year?  Thanks to Mommy Girly, Daddy Allan, Ate Isay, Laurice (12 years old) and Lolek (aged 10)who  came to the center every Saturday  and taught our girls English and Math for 2 hours.  The Angeles Family began tutoring the kids in August 2010.  Initially, only Mommy Girly came while Daddy Allan waited in his car. But in time, he saw the need and eventually joined his wife.  Soon after, eldest daughter Isay began handling the Math lessons of the kids.

Kasiglahan Kay Kristo
Back to God Program Update
............................................................................

Kasiglahan communityThe He Cares Mission just keeps on growing! Last June 2011, some 200 families from  1K cluster in the Kasiglahan Village, Relocation Site in Montalban, Rizal became our newest members.  Majority of these families came from the squatters’ area in Agham, Quezon City which was demolished by the city government.  They religiously attended all our activities before their relocation.  So they begged Kuya Joe Dean to continue ministering to them in their new place.  It was so heartwarming to see how the good Lord made use of our  members to bring new ones to Him.

My Life as a Missionary
by Bro. Daryl Tamon
............................................................................daryl
I was happily serving the Lord as an accountant in Shepherds Voice Publications until
He called me to be a fulltime missionary at He Cares Mission.

At that time, I was on my 7th month as a volunteer in He Cares Foundation and enjoying serving the kids every Saturday without any commitment. All I do was go there, released few blessings and get home super blessed.

Until one day, Bro. Joe Dean offered me to join him in carrying out his life mission. Knowing him, who is a very phenomenal human being, put doubt on my capabilities if I could carry out the same mission.

From Russia with Love
Volunteer's Corner by Natalia

volunteerHe cares foundation - this is, above all, a big family. At the first day I met children at the center I can only say that they do not look like a street or poor children. They have a good clothes, they eat well, learn to play musical instruments, and they are the same as all other children. All this is due to the fact that there are people who are trying to give them all of this.

Only people with a great and kind heart and generous soul can do it. Exactly! Such characterization I can give Joe Dean and Ardis. At first glance, it does not visual, but the work in He Cares continues round the clock. The first time I asked myself why these people do it. But I realized this: Love of God unites these people. I am happy that for a while I became a part of this family. God bless them.

Saturday Partycharacter
Back to School Program Updates by Fides
............................................................................

Our Saturday General Assembly, or fondly called Saturday Party, has become more meaningful since we began with our Character Module.  This module  is inspired from the book entitled,  “Achieving True Success.” Every 2 weeks, a pool of volunteers come up with a lesson plan emphasizing a particular character trait.

They make use of video presentations, skits, games, drawing contests, role-playing, etc. to impart important lessons to the kids.  Sis. Brenda takes care of disseminating the lesson guide every week.

Hello donors, supporters, partners and friends of He Cares.

July 3, 2011 I launched the Part 2 of our “DONATE A BRICK CAMPAIGN 365”

It will be a 365 days campaign stirring the heart of individuals to donate 1 brick a day for 365 days.

Our goal is to gather 850,000 bricks for 1 year to start the building of He Cares Mission.

Why do I need to BUILD a 3-storey with 10 rooms in the second floor and an empty space on the ground floor? Just to give you a little back ground of our mission. I am convinced that the Lord called me to bring the good news to the poor. Most of my time is doing street work, hunting street children in need of care. Seeing young children sleeping on the concrete sidewalk without pillows and blankets, separated from their parents in the dark creates a deep burden in my heart. I know all of us are familiar with this scene. The Lord wanted me to do something more than just pass them by on the street.

Thousands of homeless children are crying out for help. We can do something for them. And it can be done NOW.  My invitation to all of you is to join hands with me in bringing them back to a normal way of life.

I only need 10 people to give me 85,000 bricks. I need only 50 people to give me 17,000 bricks. I need only 100 people to give me 8,500 bricks. I need only 300 people to give me 2,834 bricks. I need only 500 people to give me 1,700 bricks.

I need only 1000 people to give me 850 bricks. Lastly. I need only 1 person to give me P10 a day for 365 days. “And the Lord will say; “well done my good and faithful servant, for I am lost and you took me home.”  PASS THIS TO 5 OF YOUR FRIENDS.
