Balik-Bahay Program (Back to Home) Update:
Our Households are Growing!

The Household for Boys was started in June 2004.  It started with a small group of 6 young boys under the care of two "kuyas" (older brothers). They stayed in a rented house in a subdivision in Rizal.

Since then, the number of household boys has grown to 16. They no longer stay in Rizal but have moved into a bigger house in the same village where the Center is located in Project 8.  The original 6 boys are much healthier and taller.  Now, it’s their turn to take care of the new, younger ones who have joined the household early this year.

The Household for Girls started June of 2009. It has been in the mind of Bro. Joe Dean to put up a shelter for the girls since last year. God honored this desire and made this dream a reality.

The Household for Girls is bustling with energy from 9 new kids with ages ranging from 5 to 13 years old. They occupy the 2nd floor of the Center. In the absence of a housemother, volunteers take turns every night to make sure that everything is ok.

Thanks to Janyn, Rhea, Melyjoe, and Judith!
