"Our Father in Heaven"
5th Anniversary Celebration of He Cares Foundation:
August 12, 2001
2001 was a year to rejoice and thank God for!
Everyone was filled with anticipation and gratitude as we gathered that
afternoon at one of the cozy functions rooms of Kowloon, West Avenue. All hearts
were filled with gratitude for the year's blessings! The theme was very apt since
it spoke of the Fathers' provision for His beloved street children throughout these five
years.
 The program started with Bro. Joe Dean Sola's
opening prayer and a short time of thanksgiving and worship. This was followed by
some welcome remarks. One of the best news this year was the accreditation of the
foundation by the DSWD. The many years of
 hard work for this has paid off!
Now, many more plans of He Cares may be put into action such as the permanent shelter for
the children.
Some of the friends of He Cares entertained
the crowd with song and dance numbers. Among these were world class
soloist Noli Cabahug who gave a poignant yet powerful rendition of "Our Father in
Heaven", Tita Lucy Limple, and the Accenture group. One of the He Cares
scholars also gave a heart-r ending personal testimony. Bro. Joe Dean also rounded up
this portion with his message with what the foundation's blessings as well as challenges
for the past year were.
Here's to another year of God's faithfulness!
