Meet Julian Betis. He is
one of the many Filipinos struggling to make ends meet for his family. He
learned about the Microfund Project of the foundation and decided to give it a
try.
Bro. Julian availed of an
initial amount of P 2,000 last June 2009. His sister-in-law, Belinda, was a
pioneer microfund user in June 2007 starting with P 2,000. In her most recent
renewal this month, Belinda was extended P16,000 by the Microfund Project.
Julian was inspired by
the success story of his sister-in-law and thought of starting his own small
business. He opened a carinderia in Cluster 3 at the He Cares Village. His
daily income of P400-500 has enabled him to support his 3 kids in their
education. He no longer worries about their daily meals and has even some extra
for emergencies.
