About 52 interns from the
Philippine Center for Specialized Health Care of
the National Kidney & Transplant Institute
conducted "Operation Tule" (circumcision) at the
Center last April 30.
The whole day activity saw the
participation of almost 60 young boys aged 7-12
years. The Center was abuzz with mothers and
their little boys in tow. While some of the
boys breezed through the whole procedure , there
were a few who wailed and screamed their lungs
out.
Kisses from
Hershey's
There’s no doubt that the next
thing we need is a dental mission. The Center
was a virtual stockroom of Hershey’s Kisses and
Dark Chocolate Bars. The Light of Jesus
Community shared with us 12 big boxes of
chocolates which Hershey’s donated to them.
The kids couldn’t get their
hands off (or should I say, "teeth") from
munching on these delicious goodies. Not to be
outdone were the teenagers and the parents who
also got their bite during their formation
nights.
