My
internship at He Cares Foundation was a salutary experience. Before I came
here, I didn’t exactly know what I should expect from it, because the
difference between Germany and the Philippines is big.
It is really difficult to describe what I’ve learned during my time here. There
are so many things. Good things and bad things. The internship wasn’t always
easy. To work together with the poorest people is often really hard.
There are a lot of experiences I get. One, which makes me always sad, is, when
I saw some street children on my first Saturday during the feeding and how much
fun they have. One or two weeks after the feeding, I saw some of them in the
street. They were selling things at intersections to cars. That made me really
sad. Why? It’s hard to describe. In Europe, we often read in newspaper about
these street children or watch documentations. But to see it in reality and to
know these children is really difficult.
But through all these, I learned how important it is to help these people and
how important the work of He Cares is.
I can recommend to everyone to join He Cares
for some time. With your work, you can help the poor people.
