Join
us planting 300 trees in the village!
July 15, 2006
We would like to invite you
to our tree-planting day for He Cares Foundation community (approx. 70
families) in Montalban.
www.hecaresfoundation.com
This community came from
the demolished squatter areas around the metropolis. They are the
families of street children.
Why do they need
trees? This relocated community is the fruit of 9 years of
hard work, generosity of so many people (individuals, companies,
government all working hand in hand) and a whole lot of prayers.
The people have come into
their homes and are rebuilding their lives. Many still do not have
means of livelihood but slowly, many of their dreams are coming into
reality because of the security that a roof above their head brings.
The place is very hot and
humid due to the location of the area and the bare surroundings. The
children only have gravel piles to climb up on as their playground. The
trees would certainly bring beauty and shade but more than that - a
healing and restorative strength to these people who've been through so
much. Life would certainly be much better if they would
We need lots of people to
help as we plan to plant 300 fruit-bearing tree saplings that day!
