Servant's Note: Wage a War on Poverty
by Bro. Joe Dean Sola

Jesus said, “ I have given you authority – in My Name you can cast out demons. In My Name…. in My Name…

For the past thirteen years, the He Cares Mission has been working with our Lord in smashing down the walls of poverty among its members.

Through its 5-prong programs, our less privileged brothers are given the chance to improve their lives.  We have recently opened a new shelter for the homeless streetchildren who desire to have a better future.

At present, there are 9 girls aged between 5 and 13 under our care.  The Home for  the Boys, on the other hand, is home for 16 teenagers.

The Microfund Project continues to provide a stable source of income for fathers and mothers through their backyard economies.  The tutorial classes conducted by volunteer students from various universities assure our scholars of good academic standings throughout the schoolyear.

Isn’t it amazing to see how much the Lord loves the poor.  What a privilege for us at the He Cares to be a co-lover with God of the “least of society”.  So we take very good care of this privilege by planting faith, hope and love in their lives.

But whatever we have accomplished to date, is not our work alone.  There are thousands of you out there who continue to support us because you believe this is what God wants you to do.  Thank you to each and everyone.

Poverty, for me, is an enemy which is trying to destroy the plan of God. But let us all be reminded that we have the Name above all names who commanded us “to fight the good fight of faith, in Jesus’ Name. “ Poverty can be completely eradicated with the might of our Lord.
